Construction Site Organization
Scaffolding installation, facade access, and work area safety were carried out in a controlled manner.
The renovations carried out on the mess hall and gymnasium buildings located within the Selimiye Barracks complex were undertaken with the aim of preserving the existing architectural character, improving the facade design, and completing roof and exterior shell repairs.
During the implementation process, facade surfaces, opening arrangements, roof covering, scaffolding organization, landscaping, and site safety were evaluated together. Field discipline was applied, taking into account the continuity of building use and the integrity of the settlement.
This project is one of Taksim Yapı's high-quality restoration applications carried out within the historical site under controlled conditions.
The restoration process progressed from assessing the current condition of the structures, erecting scaffolding, preparing facade surfaces for repairs, and carrying out interventions on the roof and exterior walls.
The design was implemented without damaging the building's architectural structure, preserving the existing facade character and opening arrangement. Throughout the construction process, the work area, the building's surroundings, and the site's usage were taken into consideration.
Scaffolding installation, facade access, and work area safety were carried out in a controlled manner.
The work on the building's exterior shell was carried out using a scaffolding system with an organized site flow.
The roofline, facade integrity, and the building's exterior appearance were all considered in line with the restoration decisions.
The images show the building's exterior condition before restoration, the construction process, and the resulting facade integrity after the application.
In restoration projects carried out on a large-scale and controlled site like the Selimiye Barracks, not only the quality of workmanship but also site organization, accessibility, worker safety, and harmony with the environment are decisive factors.
Taksim Yapı completed the implementation process with a holistic site management approach, encompassing the work program, scaffolding organization, facade interventions, and roof work.
The restoration work has strengthened the exterior character, roofline, and architectural integrity of the buildings. The process was completed within the historical site with a high-quality field organization and a controlled implementation discipline.
